Change to the Grading format.
After having a meeting with Grand Master Lee last week, I'm happy to announce that Mr Lee has authorised me to grade all coloured belts at the AMAA in the future. People grading to black belt will still do their grading in front of Mr Lee. If you want to grade please make sure the following requirements are met, 1) That you have done the required 20 lessons before the grading, 2) That you have done and passed the pre - grading test, 3) That you have a uniform that is clean, ironed and all the patches are attached in the correct spots, 4) That you have filled out a grading form and paid for the grading preferably before the grading, 5) That you have a grading syllabus sheet, 6) For all coloured belts make sure you have your grading cards on the night of the grading, 7) Remember to study the club rules as you will be asked to quote 3 club rules in the grading.

SYLLABUS ON DVD
Finally I've managed to put the syllabus for both Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido on DVD.
At the moment I've only got up to Blue 6 in Tae Kwon Do and Yellow 7 in Hapkido. The cost of each DVD is $30.00. I highly recommend purchasing these DVD's especially for the white belts as they will make a real difference with your progress and understanding.

Training Equipment
To all students from the AMAA , please take note that I'd like all students to buy themselves a pair of Kali/Arnis sticks as I have added Arnis De Mano to the syllabus of both TKD and HKD. If you don't want to spend to much money you can always go to Bunnings hardware and buy some PVC piping from the plumbing section. The piping should be cut to 66cm in length and 2.5cm in diameter. Wrap some electrical tape around the pipe to stop it from splitting. Due to insurance issues all students who want to train in Arnis MUST wear a pair of safety goggles/glasses. No eye protection = no Arnis. I'd also like all students to think about buying themselves a pair of focus mitts and a pair of focus mitt/bag gloves. The main reason that I ask this is that its much more hygienic for you if you have your own equipment. You can pick them up relatively cheaply from most sports shops such as "Rebel
Sports" and if you don't want to buy your own gear please at least buy a pair of cotton gloves that you can wear when your using the clubs equipment. They only cost about $2.50 and can be washed after use.
